The cat naturally washes himself several times a day. It’s a real ritual. He uses his rough tongue as a comb and a wash cloth. So, his hair is glossy and dead and sheding hair is eliminated.
You can get him used to be combed and brushed from his earliest years, especially if you have a long-haired cat needing daily brushing. During shed hair period, brushing is more frequent. Get a metal comb and a natural bristle brush. (more post Cat hygiene)
